IELTS Should I sit for it?
The IELTS or International English Language
Testing System is well-acknowledged as a gauge
of one's English language ability and is a reliable assessment of
whether candidates are ready to meet the demands and challenges of
a course of study or training conducted in the English medium.
IELTS is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL
Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP: IELTS
Australia. IELTS conforms to the highest international standards of
language assessment.
IELTS is an internationally accepted English language
proficiency test and is recognized in English speaking countries
such as Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand. It is also
recognised by professional bodies, immigration authorities and
other government agencies. Since its introduction, increasing
interest in the test has been shown by the academic institutions in
Canada and the USA.
